We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Psychologist to join a service for men with mental health needs in the Oldham area.
The successful candidate will be providing a specialist psychology service and play an integral role within the service and its strategic and clinical development.

Key Responsibilities of the Principal Psychologist or Forensic Psychologist:
1. Providing specialist psychological assessments and individualised evidence-based psychological interventions for young adults with severe eating disorders and complex mental health difficulties.
2. Providing evidence-based and formulation-driven psychological perspectives to multidisciplinary risk management, care planning, and decision-making.
3. Managing a complex caseload as the individual psychological therapist working within a multidisciplinary team, in addition to facilitating group psychological interventions and family/systemic interventions.
4. Monitoring clinical progress through regular reviews of psychological treatment.
5. Providing high-quality clinical supervision to the Assistant Psychologist.
6. Supporting staff development through the provision of training, consultation, formulation meetings, and reflective practice sessions.
7. Contributing to service developments within the therapies team and wider service.
8. Receiving regular supervision and line management from the Regional Therapies Lead/Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
9. Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
10. Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines, and Company Policies and Procedures.
Essential Criteria of a Clinical Psychologist:
1. To have BPS recognised psychology degrees.
2. UK HCPC registration.
3. To have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications.
4. To be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division.
5. To have an understanding of evidence-based psychological practice.
6. To have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a Learning Disabilities and Autism setting.
7. To be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits.
8. To have previous experience of conducting research and project working.
