Senior Site Manager
Job Role
To supervise all site personnel and make day-to-day decisions relating to site operations.
Key Duties
1. Ensuring health and safety standards and regulations are complied with, implementing improvements as required.
2. Ensure Site Inductions are implemented and all properly recorded and filed as well as daily briefings.
3. Make fundamental decisions regarding operations on site to ensure works are coordinated and efficient.
4. Liaise with architects and engineers regarding drawings and specifications and ensure all are kept up-to-date and in good order.
5. Efficiently supervising employees and allocating work on a daily basis to ensure all works are carried out efficiently.
6. Efficiently & effectively supervising/ensuring the supervision of all non-employees on site - including sub-contractors, agency workers, work experience placements, clients, visitors.
7. Manage sub-contractor call-offs of labour requirements to meet programme demands as well as coordinate any internal requirements for labour, also ensure resources are tracked to ensure labour demands are being met.
8. Diaries- ensure site diaries are kept up to date daily, recording all requested information to ensure the company are protected should there be a dispute.
9. Identify training and development needs of employees and support implementation of onsite training.
10. Liaising with Training Manager/Department regarding training requirements.
11. To guarantee and manage quality of work produced and to implement company QA procedures to manage the process. Challenge and stop any works should they be defective with immediate effect.
12. Monitor Contract programmes to ensure key dates are met, as well as implementing 2-4 week look-ahead programmes to control the works. Book in / forecast plant, labour & material.
13. Ensuring that all materials are taken off and MRS submitted timeously to ensure best buy for the company.
14. Produce information required lists / TQs' to ensure information is timeously concluded ahead of site teams commencing work packages.
15. Carry out daily inspection and log any defects on Procore as well as notifying the offending contractor.
16. Produce a 'snag' list prior to completion of project and ensure the issues are concluded timeously in line with programme deadlines.
17. Completion of appropriate allocation and day work sheets ensuring, if need be, these are challenged before signing. In addition, you are responsible for writing out contra charge dayworks to sub-contractors.
18. Ensure any client dayworks are written out timeously.
19. Ensure all project/site documentation is saved/filed into the required locations timeously.
20. Ensure compliance with the requirements of the SMSTS provisions.
21. Ensure compliance with the company Management Systems and requirements of the relevant industry standards.
22. Any other tasks/duties that may be reasonably requested by management.
Candidate Requirements
* CITB SMSTS site supervisor certificate
* CSCS Card
* Drivers licence
* First Aid
* Sufficient knowledge and experience of managing the construction of multi-disciplinary highly serviced buildings to demonstrate full competency in site management of such projects.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, persuade, guide and motivate others.
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
* Computer Literacy - including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
* Ability to challenge any party should the need arise on QA / H&S / Cost.
Remuneration
£55K plus £550 per month car allowance and other benefits
