Senior Buyer - Materials & Subcontract
Due to continued growth, this highly acclaimed construction group requires a Procurement Manager/Senior Buyer to join a contractor based in Co. Antrim. Reporting to the Director, your role will include the day-to-day management of the procurement processes and leading negotiations with new and existing suppliers.
Responsibilities:
* Purchasing materials and labour in line with project budget
* Negotiating with new and existing suppliers
* Appointing sub-contractors
* Preparation of detailed budgets
* Preparation of all purchasing documents
* Production of key management reports
* Monitoring and reporting performance to Director
* Ensure that payment applications for subcontractors are paid in accordance with the conditions agreed and provide accordingly any supporting information relevant to their claim
* Properly advise the client of variations and forecasting of the account including advising them of progress and delays and supporting this with relevant document correspondence
Experience:
* At least 5 years procurement experience within a Construction Environment
* Demonstrable management experience
* Strong awareness of procurement legislation
* Excellent negotiating skills
