Under the guidance of the Depot/Rentals Manager, you will receive hands-on experience, training, and support to work towards achieving a Modern Apprenticeship (SCQF Level 6) in Business & Administration. This 12-month apprenticeship is designed to provide vital administrative support to our Rentals Hire Desk while allowing you to develop essential skills in hire processes, administration, and customer service. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will gain valuable experience contributing to the smooth running of the Depot's daily operations, while building your expertise in business and customer service. Customer Service:\nYou will develop the skills to confidently manage customer queries\nLearn how to prioritise communications based on urgency and escalating when necessary\n\nTeam Collaboration:\nWork closely with a skilled team, learning from your colleagues' knowledge and experience.\nHelp the rentals operations succeed by contributing to the teamâs efforts.\n\nCommunication:\nDevelop the ability to adapt your communication style to suit different work situations.\nBecome confident in communicating with internal teams, customers, and suppliers\n\nAdmin Support Tasks:\nReceive hands-on training and apply it to assist the Hire Desk team with rental processes, customer orders, and general administrative tasks.\nBecome proficient in using and updating rental systems to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping of hire agreements and customer information.\nLearn how to manage both electronic and manual rental records, including filing, archiving, and maintaining up-to-date digital files.\nAs you gain experience, take on front-desk duties such as greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.\nOver time, youâll become competent in coordinating and assisting with the collection, delivery, and movement of the rental fleet, gaining valuable insight into fleet logistics and management.\nAssist the Hire Desk team/rentals manager with various tasks, helping to improve the overall efficiency of day-to-day operations\n\nCompliance:\nLearn how to handle rental data responsibly, following company rules and legal guidelines to keep everything accurate and private.\nUnderstand health and safety rules that apply to the hire desk and depot environment.\nLearn about the different administrative tasks at the Hire Desk and how they help the business run smoothly.\nUnderstand and follow the companyâs policies and procedures, making sure you meet expectations and maintain a professional attitude.\n\nThroughout your apprenticeship, you will receive continuous support, feedback, and coaching from our experienced team members. Regular monitoring of both on-the-job and theoretical learning will help you progress and succeed in your role.
