The Role As an Early Career Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will deliver engaging and diverse music lessons that allow students to develop their musical skills and creativity, whether through performance, composition, or music theory. You will be supported in your professional development as you gain experience in the classroom, with mentorship from experienced staff. Key Responsibilities Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver inspiring music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring that all students are engaged and supported in their learning. Fostering Musical Creativity: Encourage students to explore different musical genres and develop their technical skills, nurturing their creativity and building their confidence in performance. Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback, helping them to improve and succeed in their musical development. Collaboration: Work closely with your colleagues in the Music Department to share ideas and best practices, ensuring a high standard of teaching and consistency across the curriculum. Extra-Curricular Activities: Support and participate in extra-curricular activities such as school concerts, music clubs, and performances, giving students additional opportunities to showcase their musical talents.
