The Essential functions of this job are as follows:
1. Accountable for the standard of care at the facility, providing consultations and expertise in the delivery of care to patients.
2. Serve as a clinical and service resource to nursing staff and other staff as assigned.
3. Manage the activities of staff, coordinating safe and appropriate care between departments and disciplines.
4. Manage and evaluate work activities of nursing, technical, clerical, service or maintenance staff for the unit, work group and other facility staff as directed.
5. Analyze information/situation to choose the best solution(s) to solve problems.
6. Responsible for recruitment, hiring and training of new staff.
7. Identify the educational needs of others and develop educational or training programs.
8. Assist with the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures for the facility.
9. Prepare reports to inform management of the status and implementation of programs, services and quality initiatives of the unit.
10. Perform administrative or managerial functions such as planning budgets and authorizing expenditures.
11. Provide direct care as needed.

Bachelors or better in Nursing/Healthcare.

Masters or better in Nursing/Healthcare.
Experience

Four or more years of nursing experience and previous experience with mental health is preferred.
