Job Description Estimator – Aluminium and uPVC Window and Door Systems Location: Tamworth, Staffordshire Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Salary: Competitive (based on experience) Overview: A leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality aluminium and uPVC window and door systems is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. The company works with trade customers, commercial new builds, and refurbishment projects, offering bespoke solutions tailored to diverse client needs. Key Responsibilities: • Estimating with Logikal and Window Designer: Produce accurate estimates for aluminium systems using Logikal and for uPVC systems using Window Designer. • Material Knowledge: Work with profiles from leading brands such as Seniors and Kestrel, ensuring project specifications align with customer requirements. • Client Interaction: Collaborate with trade customers and contractors to provide clear, accurate, and timely quotations. • Project Support: Assist in the review of project designs, conducting take-offs from drawings to determine material quantities and costs. • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and design teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet technical and budgetary expectations. • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed records of estimates, ensuring seamless handover to the project and manufacturing teams. • Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive and realistic project costs. Ideal Candidate: • Proven experience as an estimator in the window and door industry, particularly with aluminium and uPVC systems. • Proficiency in using Logikal and Window Designer software for accurate cost estimation. • Strong knowledge of aluminium and uPVC profiles, especially Seniors and Kestrel. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams. • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
