We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Senior Rotational Clinical Pharmacist to join the team in Reading. This role involves working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment to deliver high-quality care to patients.
📅 Job Details:
* Start Date: ASAP
* End Date: 26th May 2025
* Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (some flexibility may be available)
* Location: Royal Berkshire Hospital
💼 Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to designated wards and departments.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and improve clinical outcomes.
* Conduct medication reviews, ensuring appropriate prescribing and minimizing medication-related risks.
* Deliver patient counselling and education on medication use, addressing queries and concerns.
* Contribute to ward rounds, offering pharmaceutical expertise to the healthcare team.
* Support junior pharmacists and pre-registration trainees in their professional development.
* Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and training programs.
* Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and activities in line with hospital policies.
✨ Essential Requirements:
* A Master’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Recent clinical pharmacy/ward-based experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of hospital pharmacy practices.
* Proven experience in working within multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
* Extensive experience in direct patient contact, with the ability to effectively communicate and build rapport.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
