Do you have a passion for sports and are motivated, enthusiastic and results-oriented? Do you enjoy working as part of a team and have extensive experience of working with children and young people through sport and physical activity? If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our Active Schools team in conjunction with Sportscotland.
As an Active Schools Coordinator, you will play a key role in offering opportunities and motivation to the children and young people in North Lanarkshire schools and communities, to adopt active, healthy lifestyles, now and into adulthood. You will support and develop new initiatives to facilitate regular, frequent, safe, and fun sport and physical activities.
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, you will have experience of working in an educational setting as well as experience of working with customers and delivering customer-focused services. You will be an excellent communicator, work well as part of a team with strong influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to build trust. A problem solver, you will also value and promote equality and diversity within school and community sport.
The successful applicants will require a satisfactory Disclosure Scotland PVG.

* Week 2: Monday – 7h, Tuesday – 7h
