Role
As a church community, we want to continue to follow God’s leading to make disciples, and we are looking to build on and develop these connections so that those in the local area have the opportunity to find faith in Jesus Christ.
Taking an active leadership role alongside the minister and congregation, we are now seeking someone with passion and experience in outreach to lead us in extending and developing our existing work and creating fresh opportunities for making disciples.
You will bring a collaborative approach with experience of leading new initiatives and working positively with volunteers, which will enable you to work with us in developing our connections in the community.
We want to enable as wide a range of candidates to apply as possible, so we are open to applications being submitted on a full or part-time basis as well as flexible working.
It is an essential requirement of this role that the post-holder is a committed Christian with a live Church connection, which is a Genuine Occupational Requirement in terms of the Equality Act 2010.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced manager to oversee the day-to-day management of Cruse Scotland South Area, which includes our teams in Edinburgh, The Lothians, The Scottish Borders, Forth Valley, and Stirling.
Candidates are required to have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to provide volunteer managerial support, which is often provided from a distance.
Excellent communication skills are essential as the postholder is required to respond effectively to a wide range of enquiries, which includes bereaved people. You will be required to establish effective working relationships with a range of Cruse Scotland volunteers and staff, as well as funders and partnership organisations. Experience of volunteer management would be advantageous.
Due to the geographical spread of the role, from time to time the postholder will be required to travel to each of the service bases within South Area and to other locations within Scotland for meetings and training.
Whilst the role is hybrid, we have an office base in Leith, so there will be a regular requirement to have a routine presence in the office.

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time project worker to join the team at our Kharis Court residential service for young people experiencing homelessness in West Lothian on a fixed-term basis from April 2025 to provide maternity cover for a period of 12 months.
The project provides accommodation to young men and women 16-25 years of age in a four-bed communal living setting and also within single-supported flats. The project is located in Bathgate, West Lothian.
You will be involved in the day-to-day running of the unit, ensuring that a 24-hour warden service is in place through the working of shifts (including sleepovers & weekends). You will help to provide emotional and practical support to individuals, enabling them to learn independent living skills through support planning, assessments, and key working. A team player with good communication skills, you will have experience and knowledge of our service user group and their surrounding issues.
Competence in the use of Microsoft Office tools is essential. An SVQ 3 in Social Care, Promoting Independence, or equivalent as listed by SSSC as appropriate for a ‘Housing Support Worker’ is desirable coupled with the experience of working with vulnerable and homeless people.

Housing Support Fife is a service providing housing support in the Levenmouth, Glenrothes, and North East Fife area. Bethany Christian Trust is looking for a support worker to be part of this team. The successful post holder will work as part of a team delivering flexible and creative support to vulnerable people to meet their housing needs and help them maintain their tenancies.
You will have a proven record as a team player with excellent communication skills; you will have experience and knowledge of the service user group and their surrounding issues.
