The Through Life Support (TLS) team is responsible for the provision of expert strategy and operational advice to clients that function within a fast-moving global environment. The team is made up of subject matter experts that work to the functional leadership under the Head of Through Life Support and project delivery leadership under the Chief Operating Officer to deliver the client mandate. Working together but often independently, each consultant will be expected to work, onsite and remotely, with the client on complex engagements.

As a Through Life Support consultant, you will be at the leading edge of designing, developing, and delivering product and support solutions throughout the capability life cycle of Defence equipment. Optimising support solutions using leading edge technologies and digital tools where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering Through Life Support from concept and design through to disposal.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
1. Supporting clients in design and delivery of support solutions across Defence domains.
2. Analyse, assess, design and deliver TLS strategies in support of capability design and concepts.
3. Delivering TLS throughout the CADMID cycle.
4. Working with data analysts to develop evidence-based, data-driven support options and solutions.
5. Develop and implement executive level governance structure, while helping to drive meeting structure and discussions in delivery and if applicable in Squarcle.
6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance support management processes.
7. Develop innovative approaches to Integrated Support utilising data and data analytics to maximise the value chain.
8. Analysing and offering support interventions to sustain and improve support to system performance.
9. Deliver to Squarcle standards and meet client's expectations demonstrating ability managing scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
10. Develop and strengthen client relationships and trust through acting with integrity.
11. Ensure quality products and services are delivered on time, in scope and meet Squarcle’s highest standard for deliverables.
12. Able to lead, support and participate fully on project teams.
13. Support the continued drive of performance excellence of the internal Through Life Support capability.
14. Line management of junior consultants.
15. Continuous professional development, keeping abreast of latest technological advances and regulatory policy and practice.
16. Continuously seek to develop your IPS skills, learning from a range of sources, including formal training, learning from experience, and coaching and mentoring.
Secondary Roles and Responsibilities
1. Performance management of staff.
2. Develop and refine Squarcle methods.
3. Support to wider team activities e.g., knowledge sessions, recruitment etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1. Strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate clearly, confidently, to the highest standard, in your written, presentational, and day to day work.
2. Ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships.
3. Experience of working as part of multi-disciplinary teams that may be from multiple organisations.
4. Knowledge and experience in Defence capability and acquisition (CADMID).
5. Knowledge and experience in designing and setting Support requirements.
6. Knowledge and experience in IPS/ILS management and supportability engineering.
7. A comprehensive knowledge of the Support Solution Envelope (SSE), the associated Support Solution Development Tool (SSDT) and how this is applied across MOD procurement projects.
8. Working knowledge of P3M and SAM.
9. Successful candidates must be prepared to apply for, and pass security clearance to a minimum of Security Cleared before they are appointed.
10. A full driving licence and own vehicle is required for this role.
