We are looking for a Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to join our forward thinking and friendly Home Enteral Feeding team.
This role will be based with the Paediatric side of the Home Enteral Feeding Team although cross cover with the adult team may be required at times. You will be responsible for supporting and providing part of the Dietetic Service in the clinical areas of Home Enteral Feeding alongside the specialist Dietitians.
The Home Enteral Feeding Team is made up of a Band 7 Clinical Lead, 3 Band 6 Dietitians and 2 Dietetic Assistant Practitioners (including this role). There are also 2 admin support staff. The team provide dietetic care to tube fed adults and children across Southern Derbyshire.
The service is mainly ran from the Royal Derby Hospital although there is scope to move to Florence Nightingale Community Hospital in the near future. Services offered, and which this role will be involved in delivering, include; telephone reviews, home visits, face to face clinic reviews, school visits and delivering pump training on the acute wards.
You will be provided with regular supervision and CPD opportunities in order to develop your clinical skills. We are committed to improving our patient experience and clinical pathways and there will be opportunities to be involved with both current and new projects within the team.
• Responsible for a patient caseload under the supervision of a Registered dietitian
• Liaise with members of the MDT regarding the nutritional care of patients on your caseload
• Provide nutrition education to other healthcare staff
