Partnering with the NHS, we are seeking a Patient Coordinator to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be managing referrals, appointments, and theatre lists, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a patient-centred approach. This role supports the seamless operation of outpatient services while maintaining compliance with national and local healthcare guidelines. We offer both full-time and part-time roles, with shift patterns ranging from 20 to 37.5 hours per week.
Your Day to Day:
* Book, cancel, and rearrange outpatient appointments and daycase admissions.
* Answer inbound and make outbound calls to assist patients, maintaining high levels of customer service.
* Use hospital systems to manage the patient journey, ensuring data is recorded accurately.
* Proactively monitor waiting lists to ensure patients are seen within the appropriate timeframes.
* Liaise with clinicians, other administrative staff, and patients to ensure smooth coordination of services.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Training & Experience:
Qualifications:
* 3 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including English and Maths, or equivalent relevant work-based experience.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and other IT systems.
Experience:
* Previous clerical or administrative experience, ideally within the NHS or healthcare setting (desirable).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Demonstrable ability to work effectively within a team and follow procedures.
Training:
