Our client, operating in the water sector, is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Southampton. This permanent role involves working closely with Southern Water to deliver essential improvements and maintenance to water supply and wastewater treatment facilities.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManagement and review of design outputs and tender packs\nProducing and updating procurement schedules/plans\nAttending design and progress meetings\nAssisting in defining the required scope of works\nProcurement of MEICA process plant\nUndertaking technical and commercial bid analysis\nProgramming and scheduling of projects\nReviewing inspection and test plans\nManaging manufacturing phases off-site\nHolding regular progress meetings and obtaining progress reports\nSupporting the construction team and attending site as necessary\nControlling site mechanical installation activities\nProducing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements\nIssuing and accepting instructions\nMaintaining site reporting and record-keeping\nEnsuring adherence to the site installation programme\nMaintaining good working relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and partners\nEnsuring completion and take-over of sub-contracts\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nMechanical Engineering degree, diploma or equivalent qualification\nCSCS card or equivalent, along with an EUSR Card\nFull driving licence\nExperience in water/wastewater plant design, construction, and procurement\n\nBenefits:\n\nPermanent position in a leading sector\nOpportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects\nProfessional development and growth opportunities\nSupportive and collaborative work environment\nComprehensive employee benefits package\nIf you have a background in mechanical engineering and are looking to contribute to significant projects in the water sector, we encourage you to apply now and join our client's dedicated team in Southampton
