An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Team Lead to join the Birmingham Wheelchairs Service team at West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre.
Working with both clinical and administrative staff, you will be leading a comprehensive administration team. You will be a focused and motivated individual with an eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure. High levels of organisational skills and line management will be essential for this role, along with excellent IT skills. Highly competent using all Microsoft packages.
This is a fast-paced role where priorities can change daily. You will need to be able to adapt to changes whilst ensuring all needs of the service are met.
As part of this role, you will be required to liaise with patients, carers, and external agencies. The ability to remain calm and be empathetic when dealing with these queries, some of which will be from patients who have a range of complex disabilities, is essential.

Person Specification
Qualifications / training
* Evidence of continuing professional development
Experience
* Relevant experience in a lead administrative or business support role
* Demonstrating ability to line manage a team
* Experience of using electronic financial tools system
* Experience of undertaking service audits
* Experience working in the NHS or public sector
Skills/knowledge
* Competent in advanced information technology systems: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook
* Ability to understand competing financial elements of the service
* Proven ability to create, populate, and maintain spreadsheets and databases
* Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and organisational skills
* Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and delegate when necessary
* Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
* Ability to generate high-quality written correspondence and good presentation skills
