Operations Manager | Specialist Paediatric Clinic Full-Time £60,000 - £80,000 DOE Central London About the Role The Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the Clinic, a newly established private paediatric clinic. You will be responsible for promoting the vision and values of the clinic by leading by example, demonstrating these values in your leadership behaviours, and fostering a supportive, high-quality care environment. You will oversee all aspects of operational performance while maintaining the highest quality standards and ensuring the implementation and maintenance of good governance arrangements. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee overall clinic operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize workflow, productivity, and patient satisfaction. Act as the CQC Nominated Individual, responsible for liaising with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory standards. Support the clinic’s Business Plan and work towards achieving associated goals and objectives. Regularly review and update clinic policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain compliance. Attend Board and other high-level meetings as required. Strategic Planning and Growth Support the CEO and senior leadership team in identifying growth opportunities and contributing to the clinic’s long-term strategic direction. Lead initiatives for service expansion, such as introducing new specialties or technologies, in line with patient needs and market demand. Build and maintain partnerships with external healthcare providers, insurance companies, and suppliers to enhance service offerings. Technology and Digital Transformation Oversee the use and continuous improvement of digital systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR), to enhance patient experience and clinic efficiency. Use data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend process improvements, identifying trends in patient care, staff performance, or operational bottlenecks. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance Stay updated on healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and best practices to ensure clinic compliance. Act as the CQC Nominated Individual, ensuring the clinic meets all CQC regulatory requirements. Ensure adherence to ICO, CQC, and other relevant regulatory requirements. Work with the Health & Safety consultant to meet compliance standards and conduct risk assessments. Attend governance and clinical meetings (MAC) as required. Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Ensure timely reporting and resolution of clinical incidents and near-misses, leading efforts to minimize risk. Develop and manage continuous quality improvement (CQI) programs focusing on clinical effectiveness, patient safety, and staff training. Sustainability and Cost Efficiency Identify opportunities for cost savings in areas such as procurement, staffing, and resource management without compromising patient care quality. Promote environmentally sustainable practices within the clinic, including energy-saving measures, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing. General Responsibilities Represent the clinic at external networking events and meetings. Contribute to the strategic development of clinic services. Ensure incidents and complaints are investigated and resolved in line with clinic policies. Assist in audits and support the CEO/CFO with the annual business planning process. Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO. Qualifications and Skills Essential: Degree-level education or equivalent. At least 2 years of management experience within a private UK-based hospital or clinic. Strong leadership and team management skills, fostering a positive work culture. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen ability to prioritize effectively.
