Assistant Team Leader (Outdoor Plants) - Ferndown, Dorset We are recruiting an Assistant Team Leader in our Outdoor department, on a Full-Time, Permanent basis, working 38 hours per week including alternate weekends. Salary starting from £24,500 with scope to increase D.O.E The role of Assistant Team Leader – Outdoor We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Team Leader to join our dedicated and successful Outdoor team. Supporting the Outdoor Team Leader, this role will also support across the centre during busy periods. Role modelling excellent customer service you will lead the team to achieve department goals by delivering high standards of stock presentation and giving customers an exceptional experience. The ideal candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, energetic personality. About You The ideal candidate must have retail experience working within a horticultural environment, with knowledge of key plant life categories, care and cultivation and an interest in gardening. You will be confident in supporting a team to drive the daily routines of the department, providing excellent customer service with a friendly and approachable manner and ready to help whether on the shop floor, telephone or online. Responsibilities include: Leading the team to deliver high standards throughout the department. Maintaining product condition and presentation Stock replenishment and levels within inventory control procedures. Offering excellent customer service Supporting with sales orders and stocktakes. Key Skills and experience: Previous retail experience Horticultural knowledge and/or experience Relevant product-range knowledge Leadership skills Computer literacy A keen eye for detail Highly self-motivated. Enjoyment of team-working Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service Strong organisational skills to balance and prioritise own and team’s workload to meet deadlines.
