About the Analyst Role As an Analyst your role will be pivotal in driving the delivery of analytics across the Forge Holiday Group. Reporting into a Data & Analytics Business Partner, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, data products, dashboards, exploratory data analysis, and ensuring prompt responses to data inquiries. You will be a trusted advisor to the business on questions about data. This position is best suited for a dynamic individual with a strong background in analytics, eager to contribute to a high-performing team's success. Your Responsibilities: Deliver exploratory data analysis, report, and dashboard creation with limited senior support, using tools such as SQL, Power BI, MS Fabric, Tableau, Python and Excel from scoping to communicating findings. Contribute to the creation of squad initiatives, aligning them with business goals. Undertake business as usual data requests to furnish the business with the data that it needs to flourish. Embed data visualization best practices, including data storytelling, ensuring insights are impactful and actionable. Develop data products, that empower other departments and operational teams to gain a winning edge through the data we curate. Investigate and correct data quality issues Support data governance activities Deliver training sessions to enable stakeholders to self-serve data and analytics Build and maintain a good reputation with senior stakeholders across the business. Essential Experience: Bachelor's degree in a numerate discipline or an equivalent analytical apprenticeship. Experience in analytics or related roles, showcasing impact. Proficiency in SQL, Excel and Tableau or Power BI. Practitioner of concepts like Data > Insight > Action and storytelling with data. Track record conducting exploratory data analysis, from formulating hypotheses to presenting findings. Experience in designing and constructing effective reports and dashboards that transform data into actionable insights. Proven ability to manage work within set deadlines and effectively communicate progress. Nice To Have: Experience applying statistical methods to analysis (e.g. regression, control charts, goodness of fit tests,, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, AB testing, clustering, time series analysis, trend anomaly detection, decision trees, and factor analysis). Experience applying Python or R for data cleaning / modelling would be an advantage Experience coaching data fluency to broader business colleagues. Commercial awareness, ideally within the holiday lettings or travel and tourism sectors. Experience in an e-Commerce environment working with website / mobile performance analytics.
