Job Description NXTGEN is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our client’s growing team at their Spalding site. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team by managing cashbook postings, credit cards, and expenses. You’ll also be responsible for month-end journals, payroll entries, VAT reconciliations, and assisting with audits and year-end processes. Key Responsibilities: Post daily cashbook transactions and handle bank reconciliations. Manage credit card and expense administration, analysis, and postings. Prepare and post general ledger journals and payroll-related entries. Assist with preparing balance sheet reconciliations and group reports. Support year-end tasks, including audits, tax queries, and group submissions. Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual returns for the Office of National Statistics. The ideal candidate for this Finance Assistant role will have strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to make decisions under pressure. Excellent organizational skills are crucial, especially during peak workload periods. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential, as well as strong communication skills to effectively interact with various levels of the business.
