We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in defining, designing, and developing best-in-class surgical devices. Responsibilities:
* Provide engineering input during all stages of product development.
* Convert validated product prototype (Prototype Model) to manufacturing ready model (Production Model).
* Create Production Model Design Documentation.
* Assist Product Manager with New Model Development Process.
* Create and execute design of experiments for testing new materials and/or manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, functionality and potential reduction in manufacturing time.
* Develop incremental design improvements based on customer feedback.
* Develop Lexington Medical product knowledge as well as hands-on ability to operate.
* Work independently across functions including with Research & Development and Manufacturing Engineering.
Qualifications:
* BS in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
* Medical device design experience.
* Working knowledge of 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks).
* Experience in product development and product lifecycle management.
* Demonstrated theoretical and practical engineering fundamentals.
* Exceptional technical zeal, problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
* Mechanical aptitude to use experimental engineering techniques in the lab.
* Demonstrated motivation, curiosity and creativity.
