IT Infrastructure & Projects Technician This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Technician or anyone with an interest in progressing their IT career to widen their skills and knowledge base, and to be a primary factor in the shaping of ongoing IT infrastructure projects & changes. This role will suit an ambitious individual who is keen to progress their career and be a key member of the IT team. Following your training and introduction period, you will get to spend a significant amount of time helping to redesign, create and implement new business apps and solutions, whilst providing a cost-effective evaluation of various solutions and approaches. Typical end user IT support will form a small aspect of your role (approximately 20%), especially during your training, assisting with day-to-day tickets of a more complex nature from escalation. However, once you are up-to-speed, much of your time will be spent on infrastructure support & project work and assisting the Group IT manager in more complex operational planning and implementation. You will be joining a small team, making a significant difference. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement business apps and IT solutions using tools such as Microsoft PowerApps, PowerFX, and Power Automate. Manage and support network infrastructure, including DHCP, DNS, VLANs, WiFi systems, and routing, including Firewall rules. Provide support for virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V, Azure) and server environments (Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, Powershell). Perform desktop support and manage PXE machine deployments. Assist in database management (SQL or similar) and maintain CCTV management systems. Participate in IT infrastructure projects across multiple sites, contributing to the evaluation of solutions and suggesting optimal approaches. Write and maintain clear, concise technical documentation. Assist with complex operational planning and IT strategy in collaboration with the Group IT Manager. Implement & Support Warehouse & Transport System data interface solutions Skills and Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar IT support or infrastructure role, at 2nd line level or demonstrable similar experience. Familiarity with PowerApps, PowerFX, Power Automate and process automation. Proficiency in networking (DHCP, DNS, VLANs, WiFi, routing) and virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V, Azure). Experience with server administration (Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Group Policy, Powershell). Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate solutions and implement the best option. Excellent attention to detail, especially in design and documentation writing. A good level of written and verbal English for clear communication of technical topics. Experience of Exchange 365 / Microsoft Defender or similar technologies, or willingness to learn. Knowledge and experience of report creation through Report Builder software such as Crystal Reports, or willingness to learn. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to be proactive with solutions Ability to devise creative solutions, especially under pressure Ability to debug/trace and infer solutions from unfamiliar technology interconnects & code This role is office based. As such, you will be expected to provide project, and your support role functions, from the Head Office, as your primary place of work.
