Mechanical Estimator
Location: Warrington
Salary: Up To £55,000
With over 35 years of trading my client specialises in delivering commercial mechanical and electrical projects, as well as maintenance services, primarily for end users and the facilities management industry. Our diverse clientele includes schools, university accommodations, public buildings, factories, warehouses, residential homes, and offices.
Responsibilities
As they embark on an exciting scale-up journey, they are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Estimator to join the team in there Warrington office, This role involves
* Building relationships with client, team members and management through a polite manner and organised delivery and coordination of communications between parties, whilst representing the business.
* To implement business processes and assign deliverables to achieve, monitor and report on progress to your manager, whilst filtering key information to operational departmental management.
* Monitor progress through SLA’s and KPI’s and effectively communicating the status to Managers and Senior Management at requested intervals.
* To support the mentorship and progression of the junior team members championing best working practices and the critical focus on efficient, safe and ethical ways of working.
* Achieving key goals & objectives set by your line manager.
* To be responsible for your part in achieving overall departmental success ,compliance and continuous improvement which meet the high standard of processes within the business.
* You will be based at head office and visit sites as per operational requirements.
The Opportunity
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a critical part in the continued growth of the business through your client-facing role, you will being responsible for managing and prioritising your workload, ensuring that the information you are responsible for is captured in the systems and communicated to the client in a timely fashion, to the highest standards. This role requires a strong understanding of live HVAC systems and working in live buildings and requires a person with an eye for detail to analyse all available information to determine accurate materials, labour, plant, and equipment costs for works in the region of £10k to £200k
Experiences Required
* Working knowledge of maintaining & installing Heating, domestic water, chilled water and basic gas in live environments
* Working knowledge of Capital plant such as boilers, pumps, chillers and ancillaries in live environments
* NVQ Level 2 minimum in relevant HVAC qualification
* Full Driving Licence (no major penalties)
* Clear DBS
* Proven work experience in the Building services industry 5 years plus
* Good PC skills, especially estimating software systems and Microsoft office.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and team working skills
