About the role
As the Repair & Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for the delivery of all works associated with the planned and reactive work programme. You will manage a geographical focused team of internal & external staff, direct labour and several approved appointed sub-contractors ensuring effective overall performance of cost, safety, quality and continuous improvement measures. You will work as part of a team in a conducive manner for the overall benefit of the delivery activity.
Below is an outline of the main duties, relevant skills, experience, and training needed for the role:
1. Ensuring SHEQ and Customer is at the heart of everything we do.
2. You will be responsible for all activities associated with Repair & Maintenance, New Connections, Metering, Reinstatement and Streetworks owning the end-to-end programme.
3. You will own the delivery of all activities to cost, time, quality, and safety targets including customer performance.
4. Ensure that the contract performs to actual cost & revenue v forecast cost using all commercial reports developed.
5. You will support delivery of the contracts cost reduction place with Streetworks performance.
6. You will be responsible for maintaining healthy and professional relationships with the clients and key stakeholders.
7. Ensure that all plant and fleet is fully productive.
8. Responsible for the performance and behaviours of all teams
9. Manage the productivity and utilisation of Direct Labour & sub-contractors.
10. Will be required to work on Standby for Weekend & Out of Hours requirements.
11. Carrying out audits as per SOR’s or client requirements
12. Identifying and assists the co-ordination of the resource to ensure effective delivery.
13. Carrying out regular site visits to maximize effective delivery as determined by the short-term programme and safety compliance.

Knowledge and Skills
18. Resource Utilisation & Control
19. A working knowledge of disciplinary and capability procedures
20. A working knowledge of accident investigation procedure
21. A good understanding of operational activities and trade skill
22. Financial awareness
23. Good understanding, supported by experience, of how a water network operates.
24. Proven ability to deliver improvements to productivity, safety, and customer focus in a utility environment.
25. Confident, self-motivated, and capable of operating independently without regular oversight.
