Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead their manufacturing operations in a highly regulated industry. Managing a team of 80 employees, this role is responsible for driving operational improvements, ensuring compliance with strict industry regulations, and enhancing efficiency across the production floor.
The ideal candidate will be a practical, results-driven leader with a strong background in regulated manufacturing. They need someone who is not only strategic but also proactive in identifying and implementing improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and develop a production team of 80 employees, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
* Maintain full compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
* Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and efficiency initiatives.
* Work closely with quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to optimise production output and reduce waste.
* Manage key performance indicators to ensure production targets are consistently met.
* Identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
* Provide hands-on leadership, mentoring, and support to the production team.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Production Manager (or similar role) in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies .
* A practical, hands-on leader who takes ownership and delivers measurable improvements.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet and drive change.
* Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and improve operational efficiencies.
* Strong understanding of compliance, quality control, and health & safety regulations .
