The Resourcing Specialist is responsible for generating and managing a candidate pipeline to fulfil the volume hiring requirements of Bus Drivers. Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialists and Talent Acquisition Partners, you will understand the hiring requirements and effectively deliver a pipeline of sufficient quality candidates to fulfil the demand. You will proactively generate candidates through direct sourcing, referrals, and developing talent pools to ensure hiring targets are met.
This role is a hybrid position based in the office in Thurmaston 2-3 days a week, with some travel across the business area where required to attend recruitment assessments and events. The main Midlands & South 'hub' locations are Thurmaston, Luton, and Northfleet.
Responsibilities
1. Review and shortlist candidate applications as part of the initial selection process.
2. Conduct telephone interviews with candidates to assess suitability.
3. Arrange candidates' attendance at assessments, effectively managing them through the process.
4. Utilise self-selection processes to support with shortlisting high volumes of candidates, and effectively manage surplus pipeline in line with SLAs to ensure a good candidate experience.
5. Utilise sourcing tools, understanding the effectiveness of the sources and optimising to deliver maximum results.
6. Build talent pools of prospective candidates in readiness for future hiring requirements.
7. Generate referrals from candidates through the recruitment process.
8. Provide post-onboarding support to understand and improve candidate experience, including ‘meet and greets’, surveys, and check-ins.
9. Provide market insights to support benchmarking and employer brand opportunities.
10. Analyse process effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
11. Proactively manage candidate throughputs daily, identifying and delivering appropriate interventions to address dips or peaks in candidate numbers against defined requirements.
12. Provide accurate pipeline reporting and hiring predictions.
13. Contribute through own and team performance to the achievement of Recruitment KPI targets and SLAs.
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience within a recruitment role and a proven track record of volume hiring in a multi-location, fast-paced environment.
2. Confident with online and offline candidate search methodologies including CV databases, job boards, and social media.
3. Strong pipeline management skills and experience of delivering against volume hiring targets.
4. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multi-task across different areas.
5. Experience of delivering against recruitment KPIs and using data insights to improve recruitment processes.
6. Attention to detail and professional written and verbal communication skills.
7. Knowledge of employment legislation in relation to recruitment.
