Main duties of the job
We are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic, and passionate Doctor to join our multi-disciplinary team offering comprehensive specialist clinical prescribing services and a wide range of psychosocial interventions across hub and satellite locations. The role will work under and support the local Clinical Lead & Consultant in Addiction Medicine and Clinical Services Manager to develop and embed robust clinical practice and high-quality performance across Leicester City locations.
As a registered Doctor working within our substance misuse service, you will be expected to provide a wide range of health-related interventions that promote service users' well-being and opportunities for sustained recovery. The role will envisage both face-to-face and remote clinical consultations and prescribing.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide a constant stimulus for improving clinical services. Turning Point in return is committed to the ongoing professional development of all its staff. We offer regular structured clinical supervision, support with CPD, and full support with appraisals and revalidations. We will also provide additional support in building on your experiences of working with people with drug and/or alcohol problems.
Person Specification
Experience
* The successful candidate will also be expected to have and demonstrate the following:
* Experience in treating patients with a range of medical and psychiatric conditions is essential.
* Suitable for a GP with a portfolio career or looking to develop a specialist interest in addiction.
* Experience in addiction medicine is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Operating at Specialty Doctor Level or above with a minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience and ideally at least 2 years experience in a Specialty area.
* Current registration with GMC.
* The legal right to work in the UK is essential.
