Position: Stores Operative
Location: Doncaster
Employment Type: Permanent position
Working Hours: Rota system of 8 hours per day, start and finish times between 6:30am and 5pm
Environment: Growing and busy manufacturing environment with parking on site and permanent employee benefits.
Responsibilities:
* Administer Stock Control, including stock movements in/out, reporting shortfalls or faults on the same day, regular stock level checks, full stock taking procedures, product knowledge, and liaising with all departments related to stock control.
* Maintain acceptable stock levels agreed with the Finance department and use the requisition procedure.
* Make available stock for field work and return field stock to suppliers as required.
* Liaise with project purchaser, finance, planning, and workshop to prepare stock requirements.
* Provide all equipment and consumables to workshop engineers for the next day's work, ensuring no delays during their working day.
* Liaise with the Workshop, understanding their processes, including stock duties, purchase duties, and health and safety requirements.
* Organise subcontract work for products, arranging dispatch and accepting returns while observing relevant quality checks.
* Process returns or faulty goods, liaising with suppliers and accounts to obtain replacements or credits.
* Package goods for dispatch securely, ensuring correct paperwork and labeling.
* Maintain stock in a safe and correct manner, keeping designated stock areas clean and tidy while observing COSHH safety data.
* Observe recycling and waste disposal policies of the Company.
* Participate in month-end stock valuation processes.
