Note: occasional home working an option but not a fully hybrid role. Salary: 43-46k neg About the Role: We are seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our growing team based in the Midlands. As a CAD Designer, you will play a key role in designing, preparing, and detailing presentational drawings using AutoCAD for issue to End Users, Contractors, and Architects. This position offers excellent prospects for personal progression as our team continues to expand. Responsibilities: - Utilize AutoCAD to design and detail presentational drawings. - Amend drawings based on client feedback and surveys, providing construction issue and take-offs for procurement. - Apply a logical and systematic approach to solving design queries and integrating products into building structures. - Manage your own workload, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining a high level of detail. - Stay up-to-date with glass and associated products or demonstrate a willingness to learn. - Attend and lead design meetings with clients, architects, and contract managers. - Communicate effectively via telephone, video calls, and email. Requirements: - Essential: Excellent AutoCAD skills and a strong general knowledge of construction and structures. - Preferred: Knowledge of additional drafting software such as Sketch-Up and REVIT; structural engineering knowledge or training. - Experience in designing and detailing with at least 3 years of relevant experience. - Permission to work in the UK and willingness to commute to the Tamworth area. - Confidence in holding design meetings and communicating effectively with clients and team members. - Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks and learn new skills.
