Job Introduction
BBC Media Operations is at the heart of delivering incredible content across all our platforms. Our team captures, edits, and produces output 24/7 for TV, radio, and digital platforms. We are experts in our field, with exceptional technical, operational, and production creativity at our core.
The Music area is focused on all the music output being delivered by Media Operations. You will be their main point of contact and work with other areas in Media Operations to ensure the most effective programme delivery and operational process. You will lead the specialist operational team working in London as well as being the key point of contact for this area within Media Operations.
We are looking for an Operations Executive (Sound) who can lead with flair and motivate our teams to achieve their best. You should bring innovative ideas to the table and foster a creative working environment.
Main Responsibilities
* Serve as a highly visible and trusted leader, focusing on effective management and enhancing staff engagement.
* Oversee the department’s operational staff, managing performance, training, and development.
* Collaborate with production partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality content.
* Align with divisional and departmental objectives to formulate viable and strategic business plans.
* Build and maintain relationships with recognized trade unions.
* Effectively manage and control the team budget.
* Stay abreast of industry developments and new technology.
