Purpose of the role: The Capacity Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the organisation's resource planning and utilisation processes. This role ensures that personnel and resources are efficiently allocated to meet operational demand. The Capacity Assistant works closely with various departments to track capacity metrics, identify potential bottlenecks, and recommend solutions for optimal productivity. Key Responsibilities: Capacity Monitoring : Track and analyse resource utilisation, workload, and performance metrics to ensure efficient operations, Resource Allocation : Assist in scheduling and redistributing resources to meet changing project or operational requirements, Data Management : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of capacity plans, forecasts, and usage data in relevant systems or databases, Reporting : Generate regular reports and dashboards on capacity performance, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, Coordination : Work with cross-functional teams to align resource needs and resolve capacity-related issues, Forecasting Support : Assist in developing short-term and long-term capacity plans based on projected workloads and business goals, Tool Management : Support the implementation and maintenance of capacity management tools and software. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus. Experience: Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a similar role is preferred. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure, Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
