Job Description:
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join a newly formed in-house recruitment team. You will support and complement the recruitment, preboarding, and onboarding services for all new employees across the organization. Your role is essential in ensuring that relevant compliance is completed to employ the best talent at the right time for the young people we support.

Based onsite at Priors Court Road, Hermitage, RG18 9NU, with some remote working if required. You will be completing a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship.

* Salary: £19,000 per annum
* Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours

The role of the Recruitment and HR Support Apprentice
This position will support both the Recruitment & HR teams, providing a solid understanding of both areas and helping you decide your career path.
You will assist in the effective preboarding and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new staff. Working with the Onboarding Development Coach and HR & Recruitment Coordinator, you will ensure compliance with screening standards, including Right to Work, DBS, and Safeguarding Checks. You will also be involved in pre-interview screening, testing, and assessment processes. Training, mentoring, and support will be provided throughout your development.
Main responsibilities include:
* Act as the first point of contact for the recruitment team, handling inquiries and directing queries appropriately.
* Understand candidate attraction and selection processes, including legal and ethical requirements.
* Assist in recruitment and selection by liaising with candidates and internal teams for interviews and inductions.
* Update candidate data in the HR system and ensure all onboarding information is complete and compliant with legal standards from organizations like OfSTED, CCRAG, CQC.
* Prepare departmental inductions, allocate equipment, IT access, and training for new staff.
* Build relationships with prospective candidates to promote Priors Court as a great place to work.
* Support new hires with e-learning and liaise with the training department as needed.
* Ensure all Right to Work approvals are in place, especially for staff on visas or with temporary leave to remain.
Work experience is beneficial but not essential. We seek applicants with attributes such as excellent communication skills, motivation, organization, attention to detail, customer service orientation, and willingness to learn. Basic proficiency in MS Office is desirable.
Qualifications
Achievement of GCSE Grade 5 or above in English & Maths (or equivalent).
