Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Ensure the access planning functions safely facilitate access to the Railway in accordance with NR Standards utilising the 019 standard hierarchy for protection.
* Use of Planning software including PPS, Railhub, Ontrac to create and deliver safe and effective plans for frontline staff in line with industry timescales.
* Accountable for the creation, dissemination, return and assurance activities of Safety critical paperwork associated with all safety critical rule books and standards, with the exception of Isolation documentation. The postholder will act as one of SWGR’s Administrators within On-Trac.
* Accountable for Standards dissemination and briefing to matrix function and frontline operatives.
* Ensure high levels of service delivery by having a clear understanding of the requirements of the job/client so that we supply the best available manpower to ensure that all work is carried out to the satisfaction of the client’s requirements, timescales and expectations.
* Ensure compliance with company rostering systems to have a minimum of a 4 week lookahead prepared such that resources are defined and any shortages identified at the earliest opportunity. Liaise with clients to manage draft requirements at an earlier stage.
* Contact all personnel usually by phone to allocate shifts by latest Monday of each week.
* Investigate all no shows and report findings to the Senior Frontline Services Manager. When circumstances warrant, support HR in taking appropriate disciplinary action, in line with the Company Disciplinary procedures to ensure these are applied fairly and effectively.
* Ensure status of work force competencies are up to date and plan any training/assessment requirements to achieve maximum utilisation of personnel.
* The post holder will be expected to undertake safety critical duties to ensure that we are able to meet and satisfy the requirements of the clients.
* Deputise for the Senior Frontline Services Manager as appropriate and undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge and ability in the interests of the business.
* Support Senior Frontline Services Manager and Head of Delivery to not only maintain and develop the existing contracts and working relationships but also to generate potential new business and revenue streams.
* To liaise with the Senior Frontline Services Manager in assessing the training needs of personnel, such that the Resourcer can coordinate and manage these needs effectively.
Knowledge, Experience and Education Requirements
* Relevant Network Rail Sentinel Skills Competencies, knowledge and experience.
* Impressive, demonstrable track record of skills/experience gained within a similar position within fast-paced, highly demanding and challenging organisations.
* Specialised training/experience in resource management, manpower planning, SSOW Planning, business liaison, account management and customer services.
