The South Leicestershire School Sports Partnership (SLSSP), with the support of the Youth Sports Trust, are delighted to offer the opportunity for a School Sports and Intervention Intern to join our team.
About Us
Based at South Wigston, a part of the Learning Without Limits Academy Trust, the SLSSP is one of the largest School Sports Partnerships in the region. The partnership consists of 83 schools in the Harborough, Blaby, Oadby and Wigston areas of Leicestershire. The SLSSP supports education professionals and provides opportunities for all young people in South Leicestershire to ensure that well-being, physical activity, school sport and PE is at the heart of school life. The SLSSP is passionate about developing inclusive provision to promote personal development and lifelong healthy behaviours.
School Sports and Intervention Intern
We are looking for an organised and passionate individual who is motivated to make a difference to children and young people lives through the power of sport. The internship aims to give the successful candidate an outstanding experience and introduction to working in school sport. The role consists of:
1. Working on behalf of the South Leicestershire School Sports Partnership and the Youth Sport Trust the successful applicant will provide effective support for the Wimbledon Foundation in partnership with Barclays, Set for Success programme in Leicestershire and the wider national programme.
2. Working with the South Leicestershire School Sport Partnership team the successful candidate will support the delivery of sports events, well-being programmes and physical activity sessions in schools.
