Campion School has a well-established and renowned EAL department, which aims to teach newly-arrived EAL students sufficient English, both oral and written skills, to enable them to access the curriculum in the mainstream classroom. The department is successful and well respected for its creative and inspiring work in this area.
We require an enthusiastic teacher who can deliver intensive learning support for pupils who are in the very early stages of speaking and working in English. This will involve small group tuition, differentiated delivery, and assessment of students’ work. Ideally, the successful candidate will have achieved or be studying for the ESOL qualification. Previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
All those interested in applying are welcome to visit the school by prior appointment. For further details, please visit the school’s website or contact the HR Team (Amanda Scott, 01926 743236, or Kerrie Flippance, 01926 743239).
