To provide a safe level of care for my 23 year old daughter who has a mild learning disability, autism and can be overly friendly to others. A support worker would promote her independence in the community and also develop her confidence in using public transport. To practice bus routes with her, attend the cinema, and go out for meals. She enjoys being with her friends and ultimately if she gains in confidence this may enable her to access bowling, attend the cinema, and zumba sessions along with her peers independently.
Main Duties:
1. Develop social skills and promote independence
2. Take her on short outings in the community to help provide stimulation and gain confidence
Essentials:
1. Show initiative and flexibility

Motivation:
1. To enjoy working with children and young people
Other:
You will be required to complete relevant training as well as an enhanced DBS check and child protection check.
In general, to undertake all care work with the sensitivity required to provide services in a way, which will preserve the dignity, choice, independence, fulfillment and rights of the child and their family.
