Wates are looking for a Senior Land Manager to join our Wates Developments team in Leatherhead.
Wates Developments holds a large and growing portfolio of potential residential development land and our team focuses on securing valuable planning consents in sustainable locations, in both town and country throughout Southeast, South West and Midlands. Our business invests in new land opportunities seeking to secure planning consent for residential schemes as well as investing in residential schemes through long-established joint ventures with leading UK house builders.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting into our Land Director, as a Senior Land Manager, you will:
* Identify, investigate, appraise, negotiate and secure interest in land or property. Undertake and target land searches of medium/long term development opportunities which fall in line with Wates Developments' strategy and strategic investment profile.
* Negotiate and secure land investments on competitive terms.
* Lead in preparation and presentation of land Governance matters with the Land Director.
* Maintain a good list of agent contacts, representing Wates Developments in a professional capacity to high standards at all times.
* Demonstrate a clear strategy for new opportunities evaluating return on investments.
* Provide a handover of land interests to the Wates Developments Project Team and act as a liaison on land matters/valuations in support of site and planning promotions as may arise and work with team members in creating a project strategy.
* Manage the sale of assets (once consented) or the development/sale of land into joint venture with Wates Developments' partners.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an individual with knowledge of residential planning and applications, market understanding, land contracts, land law, negotiation, land transactions, technical solutions and valuation.
