What’s involved
Reporting to Team Leader Network Control, the Network Controller is responsible for:
1. Monitoring network voltages, power flows and statuses using the SCADA system and other means
2. Controlling all switching and operating on the network for planned work and during emergencies

Salary range offered is $95,000 - $110,000 pa
What you’ll need
Essential for this role is in-depth knowledge of the Electricity Safety Regulations, SM-El. You will be familiar with the Electricity Industry Participation Code (as they relate to distribution companies).
To be successful your experience will include a combination of:
1. Electrical registration or similar experience in the electrical field
2. Experience with SCADA or telemetry
3. A minimum of 2 years Supply Authority work
4. The ability to accurately record operating data
5. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to stay calm under pressure
7. Dedication to get results and a willingness to accept responsibility
8. The ability to perform under stress and adapt well to changing conditions
9. A demonstrated level of technical knowledge, as well as the skills to support the management and operation of the network.
