Your newpanyHays Procurement are supporting an entrepreneurial and award-winning online retail business, to recruit for a permanent Category Manager/Senior Buyer to join their Procurement team, based at the Head Office in Telford. The business has grown substantially and has ambitious expansion plans. Your new roleThe Category Manager/Senior Buyer role will strategically and operationally manage online product range procurement from new product development, sourcing, negotiation, contract development and supplier management. The Category Manager/Senior Buyer will be responsible for range category management, will develop expert market knowledge, and identify new and innovative product ranges. The Category Manager/Senior Buyer will ensure availability, minimise costs of existing products and maximise margins. What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate will be a passionate and creative Category Manager or Senior Buyer, preferably with strong experience of retail or product for resale procurement. You will ideally be degree educated (or equivalent) and/or CIPS qualified.
