Main duties of the job
Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, providing the prescribed nursing care without supervision. Contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice in the unit.
Support patients and their families during their diagnosis and treatment.
Liaise with other departments both at WCH and CIC to ensure the safe transfer of the patients.
The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.
Healthcare professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles, or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.
