Skills & Experience:
1. Minimum 12 months in a similar role, preferably in the public sector, with expertise in diary management, minute taking, and administrative tasks.
2. Experience of working in a business support or executive assistant role at senior management level, as well as working within a team.
3. Proven ability to support senior executives, including managing multiple complex diaries and inboxes.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
5. Minute taking experience and skills.
6. Strong networking and partnership-building abilities with internal and external parties.
7. Excellent administrative, organisational, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong skills in Microsoft Office or equivalent software (e.g., G Suite).
As a Business Support Co-ordinator in the Resources Directorate, the successful candidate will play an important part in supporting the Executive Director and Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high quality executive support including diary management, forward planning and troubleshooting.
2. Production of high-quality reports for senior audiences, including Directors and Lead Members.
3. Undertaking research and horizon scanning on government policy, legislation and best practice.
4. Supporting business planning and policy development activities across the Directorate.
5. Planning and delivery of communication and events across the Directorate.
6. Deputise for the Head of Strategy and Operations.
Success in this role requires a high level of enthusiasm and initiative, the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, whilst working collaboratively in a small and high-impact team.
