The post holder will be responsible for:
The management of the Public Cash and Bank Account, including:
Ensure correct budgetary allocation and authorisation for invoices.
Authorising the issue of temporary cash funds.
Calculating quarterly welfare fund totals
Investigating novel, contentious, or suspect transactions and discrepancies, and reporting the loss of monies both public and non-public
The management of Non-Public Service Funds Accounting, including:
Provide training and advice to all Service Fund managers and members.
Attending Mess committee meetings, completing minute books and advising fund managers on any matters affecting the policy, management or control of individual funds and large-scale activities.
Ensure that correct accounting action and appropriate records are maintained for the collection/payment of PAYE, NI and, where appropriate, stakeholder pension contributions for all Service Funds employees.
Overseeing insurance policies, the provision of monthly statements and annual balance sheets for service funds.
End of year documentation preparation.
