About The Role We are excited to advertise a new role within our Building Optimisation division. The Engineering Support Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining a range of complex systems across a diverse range of project and service teams. Your core responsibilities include: ⢠HS Compliance ⢠Sales Ordering Processing ⢠Scheduling ⢠Contract Management ⢠KPI Reporting In addition to working with the various project/service teams, you will work with a range of internal stakeholders including but not limited to Technical, Finance, Sales and Compliance. What You'll Actually Do Work closely with the Building Optimisation Director and the senior management team to manage and maintain Optimised systems within agreed timescales Arrange formal review meetings with delivery teams and wider internal stakeholders i.e. Sales, Finance, HS Compliance to ensure correct and up-date information is recorded, tracked and used to inform decision making. Support the senior management team in identifying potential issues before they occur with a particular focus on forward planning Use the Sales pipeline to look at capacity planning and forecasting to ensure the business has the correct resource on hand to deliver client scopes of work Work with project/service teams to ensure HS compliance and reporting. Particular focus on process creation/adheres and using supporting systems Ensure all the relevant information for new contracts is loaded into the various systems (work packages, pricing, resources and milestones) Work alongside the project/service teams to allocate resources and monitor progress with a keen focus on capacity planning and forecasting- Keeping the team calendar up to date, administering travel / accommodation arrangements, and supporting the team leader to approve expenses as necessary. Ensure hardware and software is procured in line with signed work packages and in accordance with technical specifications Actively monitor, maintain and audit business and car stock levels;. overseeing stock control procedures in relation to project related hardware. This includes ordering, checking on receipt, shipping to end destination, monitoring returns, quarterly stock counts and liaison with finance to ensure records are accurately managed Manage and monitor the formal engagement of sub-contractors across the UK and overseas Work with project/service teams to actively manage contract variations, raising invoices, chasing payment. Ensure accurate and timely reporting on agreed metrics with a focus on spotting trends/themes. Complete the new supplier procedure, conducting supplier diligence and maintaining current records in line with our ISO requirements. Lead, develop and manage the people within your team, including probation reviews, 1:1s, appraisals and underperformance in line with company expectations and through early intervention, ensuring you seek and give feedback on what works and what does not. Manage and support recruitment, on-boarding, career planning, training and developing your team, including mentoring new and less experienced members. Visible and approachable leadership presence, build your team's confidence to achieve commercial results and high-quality standards while identifying high potential leaders and completing succession planning. What you'll be able to offer Previous experience working in an engineering project support/management role Experience in using project and service management software in a complex engineering environment Comfortable engaging with both internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis. with an ability to present open, honest and constructive communication.
