Integrated Maintenance, Repair, and Development Services (IMRDS) is a key team within Anglian Water, responsible for maintaining water supply systems, managing emergencies like water bursts, and developing new solutions to improve service to our customers. As part of the Embedded Alliance, we collaborate with other organisations, leveraging skills and expertise to deliver the best outcomes. What Will You Be Doing as a Regional Safety Representative?
You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the Health, Safety and Environmental standards on the Main Laying delivery route of our Alliance. Your responsibilities will span across pre-construction phases to handover, including site visits, inspections, incident investigations, and delivering HSE training. You'll actively promote the LIFE programme, ensuring our team and partners adhere to the highest safety standards. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the safety culture of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Support & Site Inspections (60%): Offering competent HSE Advice to operational teams and conducting regular site visits, including inspections and advisory visits, ensuring compliance with Partner and Alliance requirements.
* Behavioural Safety Engagement (30%): Support operational teams in developing safety behaviours, guiding the application of our LIFE strategy, and promoting behavioural safety training and initiatives.
* Meeting Attendance (5%): Attend meetings to contribute and provide advice as a HSE representative.
* Incident Investigations (5%): Lead or contribute to incident investigations, ensuring all evidence is collected, interviews are conducted, and reports are completed as required.
What Attributes Are Required
Qualifications:
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate
* Technician grade membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or higher
* CSCS Card
Desirable Qualifications
* NEBOSH Environmental
* Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
* Working towards Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH)
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in the construction/utilities sector.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to interpret regulations and HSE data effectively.
* Ability to build relationships at all levels and communicate effectively with site teams and office staff.
