Who we're looking for
Seat Unique is seeking a highly organised and proactive Investment Assistant with strong analytical skills and a passion for supporting financial decisions that drive company growth. The ideal candidate will have an interest in investment management, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role will support the investment team with key data management, financial analysis, and administrative functions.
We're in the live events business, which means in-person events are our core. This translates to our company culture and this role requires the candidate to be in the office five days a week at our London HQ. This in-person environment fosters agility. Being together allows our team to make quick decisions and adapt to the constant changes in our industry.
Responsibilities
As an Investment Assistant, you will support the investment team by:
Managing Investment Data:
* Maintain and update databases related to current and potential investment opportunities, ensuring accuracy and easy access for decision-making. You will help organise and track key financial metrics that inform our strategic investments.
Assisting with Financial Analysis:
* Provide support in gathering and analysing financial data related to investment opportunities. This could involve preparing reports and summarising key financial insights to assist with decision-making and presentations.
Researching Investment Opportunities:
* Conduct detailed market research to identify new trends, opportunities, and risks in the live events and entertainment industry. Assist in compiling information that helps guide Seat Unique’s investment strategy.
Supporting Due Diligence:
* Assist in the due diligence process by collecting and organising relevant financial documents, market research, and legal compliance data, ensuring that our investments are well informed and in line with our long-term goals.
General Administrative Support:
* Provide administrative support to the investment team, including managing communications, scheduling meetings, and organising investment files. You will be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on investment-related matters.
Skills and Experience
While these qualifications are highly regarded, we appreciate the value of diverse experiences. You don't need all of them, but they could include:
* Analytical mindset with strong numerical skills: You are comfortable working with financial data, identifying trends, and supporting decision-making processes with robust analysis.
* Experience in investment research or financial services : While not essential, prior experience in an investment-related role or exposure to financial services will be advantageous.
* Attention to detail and organisational skills : You excel in managing detailed data, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all tasks.
* Communication skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams and external partners, assisting in report preparation and stakeholder engagement.
* Proficiency in Excel and financial software : Experience with Excel or other financial modelling tools is a plus, as well as familiarity with research databases or industry-specific software.
Target compensation package:
£25k - £30k + quarterly bonus + share options + benefits.
Final offers may differ from the target compensation package, taking factors such as experience level and skill set into consideration.
