Complex Care Support Worker - Sudbury, Suffolk
Claimont Health have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Complex Care Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker.
This role will be based in the community supporting our Client who is an adult with Motor Neurone Disease and complex health needs requiring a high level of care and support at home.

If yes, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for individuals to join our team either on a Full-time or 0-Hour contractual basis.
You will need to have a proven track record of complex care experience and have supported clients with:
* MND (Motor Neurone Disease)
* Suctioning and cough assist
* Medication Management
This is a 2-1 package of care during the day and 1-1 at night. Opportunities for day and night shifts are available.
You must hold a UK driving license and have access to a car.
Main Duties of the Job
We are looking for high-quality, dynamic, and experienced Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers who have experience working with people with Motor Neuron Disease and who are able to provide home care.
You must have/be:
* A car driver with access to a car.
* 1 year or more experience as a Complex Care Support Worker working with people with MND.
* Flexibility, maturity, independence, and the very highest professional standards.
* Commitment to delivering client-specific care.
* Adaptable approach to support clients and family members.
* Ability to maintain clear professional boundaries within a home setting.

Required Skills/Qualifications
* 1 year or more experience as a Healthcare Assistant with complex care experience.
* NVQ Level 3 related subjects.
* NVQ Level 4 related subjects.
* Nursery nurse qualifications or similar.
* Diploma in relevant health/social subject.
* Commitment to delivering client-specific care.
* Adaptable and professional approach to support clients and family members.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 related subjects
* NVQ Level 4 related subjects
* Nursery nurse qualification or similar
* Diploma in relevant health/social subject
Experience
* Significant experience in a similar role which demonstrates commitment to mandatory training, attendance, and engagement.
* Previous care experience in a health, social care, or childcare setting.
* Experience of communicating highly complex or sensitive information and using skills to overcome barriers to understanding, such as with non-verbal clients.
* Understanding of Information Governance, Data Protection, Care Certificate standards, and safeguarding vulnerable children and adults.
* Experience of working in both acute and community settings.
* Experience with working within Mental Health.
Knowledge and Skills
* Ability to provide good quality care.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
* Be able to work on your own initiative and/or as part of a team across multiple areas.
* To be able to demonstrate tact and sensitivity when communicating with families under immense pressure, always reserving judgement and demonstrating empathy, compassion, and understanding.
