We are delighted to be opening a new permanent opportunity for a residency trained diagnostic imager at our diplomate led multidisciplinary referral hospital “Northwest Veterinary Specialists” (NWVS). This role will see our diagnostic imaging team increase further, providing a true team environment and support for our existing associates. Northwest Veterinary Specialists is a leading referral-only specialist small animal hospital in Cheshire, close to the Wirral and the beautiful scenery of the Lake District and North Wales. We are a true multidisciplinary hospital with departments in orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, oncology, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging. We run European approved residency programmes in small animal surgery, neurology and oncology. The hospital is equipped to a very high standard and provides excellent inpatient facilities with qualified RVNs and veterinary interns on-site 24/7. 2024 has seen significant investment in upgrading our imaging capabilities at NWVS, with a brand-new Philips Ingenia MR5300 MRI system currently being installed, allowing us to operate at the highest levels for MRI. We have also invested in new Ultrasound equipment to operate alongside our Toshiba Aquilion Lightning 16 row helical CT scanner, a Siemens CIOS connect fluoroscopy unit and an Esaote Veterinary Mylab Eight Exp ultrasound machine. Investment in upgrading our CT scanner is in the pipeline too We welcome applications from candidates who have successfully completed either a European or American college approved residency programme in Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI or ACVDI), ECVDI/ACVDI diplomates or board eligible clinicians. The successful candidate would be joining an established, friendly team consisting of 3 experienced imaging clinicians and a dedicated imaging RVN.
