THIS IS A PART TIME ROLE BUT COULD BE COMBINED WITH THE DATA QUALITY ADMINISTRATOR ROLE WE ALSO HAVE AVAILABLE TO CREATE A FULL TIME ROLE of 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with good communication skills who enjoys providing an excellent service to a wide range of people, by phone and face to face. As a GP Receptionist/Care Co-Ordinator, you will arrange appointments, answer queries, input data, and signpost people to the appropriate services in our busy GP Surgery. Working closely with the GP team, you will ensure that everyone who contacts us receives the appropriate care.
This is a part-time post of approximately 20 hours a week. Normal working hours will be between 8am and 6pm, with one afternoon extending to 8pm once per month.

Job responsibilities
* Greeting patients and visitors to the Practice, providing a high standard of customer service
* Answering telephone calls, ensuring calls are documented and directed appropriately
* Gathering information from patients to pass on to the Duty Doctor
* Booking, amending, and cancelling patient appointments
* Signposting patients to the most suitable services including self-care and patient education events offered by the Practice
* Ensuring patient records are maintained on SystmOne
* Dealing with queries and concerns raised by patients
* Working collaboratively with other members of the Practice Team to support the patient experience when contacting or visiting the Practice
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A-C in English Language and Maths (or equivalent)
* Qualification in Health & Social Care
* Qualification in Customer Service
Experience
* Experience of providing excellent customer service
* Experience of using Microsoft Word & Excel
* Experience of working in a GP Practice or Hospital
* Experience of using TPP SystmOne
