We are looking for reliable, flexible Health Care Support workers to work within Archer Ward.
Main duties of the job
Health Care Support Worker - Band 2
Archer ward/AAU is a 24 bedded ward which provides holistic person-centred care that enables individuals to increase independence, improve health outcomes and reduce unnecessary admissions to secondary care or long-term care. This is achieved through timely interventions, rehabilitation, management of long-term and limiting conditions, and partnership working across the health and social care community.
We also have Palliative Care Beds for people at the end of life by providing holistic person-centred care which includes symptom management and the provision of psychological, social, spiritual, and practical support.
All staff within the service work in collaboration with the patient, their carer, and other statutory and voluntary organisations and agencies.
You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly motivated, and positive in your approach to care delivery to ensure we maintain a high-quality service delivery to our patients.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent experience
* 3 GCSEs A-C or equivalent
* Previous experience of working in a care environment
* Experience working with people and dealing with members of the public
Knowledge, skills and aptitude
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to seek appropriate assistance from colleagues
