We are looking for experienced Assembly Operators to join our growing Production Team. Our Assembly Operators will work to Standard Operating Procedures, using assembly equipment and operating machinery, assembling finished parts to tight tolerances and high quality, ready for dispatch.
What you’ll be doing as our Assembly Operator:
* Complete assemblies as per customer requirements and plans.
* Assembly to tight tolerances using assembly equipment and machinery.
* Manage Kanban levels, tool setting and safety stocks of replenishment items.
* Process jobs as scheduled on the internal database as well as entering operational data regarding quality and output.
* Package, wrap and label assemblies.
* Responsible for safe and efficient internal transportation to operational areas.
* Work with the Quality team to align product delivery with the company’s quality needs for existing and new processes.
* Work within the 5S standards set by the business
* Champion continuous improvement and provide feedback to internal departments on the assembly process.
* Action Quality Issues and support all Non-Conformance meetings.
* Support product and process optimisation in line with the quality needs of the business.
* Maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards.
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Assembly Operator:
* Proven background in an Assembly environment.
* Experience of working to high specifications.
* Competent working to Standard Operating Procedures.
* Identify and utilise best practice methods for working tight tolerances.
* Able to work to tight time lines and multi-task in a busy manufacturing environment.
* Experience in operating in a 5S environment.
* Able to work to high safety and quality standard, with a variety of equipment and materials.
* The ability to work as part of a team and on your own with minimum supervision.
* Excellent problem solving skills.
Need to have:
* Minimum 1 years working experience within an assembly environment.
* Ability to understand quality control
* Numeracy and IT skills
* Verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure

Shifts: Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm
Salary: £28,750 rising to £31,050 after successful completion of onboarding period (including shift rate and annualised hours)
