We are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join our team. The Quality Engineer will investigate, evaluate, and resolve quality problems by conducting defect investigations, analysing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement projects. They will lead and conduct containment activity, maintaining traceability of actions and delegating accordingly, to ensure the swift containment of non-conformances, root cause analysis and effective corrective action on nonconforming product issues. Additionally, frequent interaction and status reporting to internal and external customers is required. The Role: Perform investigation of production failures, analysis of production data and reports to identify opportunities for improvement and prevent reoccurrence of issues. Generate weekly/monthly reports for management including analysing production reject trends, scrap cost and investigation updates. Respond to customer complaints, putting in place containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes and implementing countermeasures; ensuring Quality Technicians' checks, and daily activities are focused on Quality Assurance and the prevention of issues. Identify any operator training needs required to meet WMP/quality standards. Where relevant, conduct and record the training. Be the main point of contact in the designated area for quality and ensure that quality standards are consistently met. Ensure that tools are calibrated. Conduct internal QMS, Safety Critical/process audits to ISO:9001 and internal documentation Ability to read and understand technical manuals, drawings, use computer systems such as office and app-based software The Requirements: Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related subject and 2 Years' experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing industry or 2 Years' experience in a Quality role in a manufacturing industry Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis) and understand manufacturing quality management environment. Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation generation and working knowledge of mechanical drawing interpretation. Strong working knowledge of Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/ Preventative Actions. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and or ISO/TS 16949/ IATF 16949 requirements, APQP, ISO9001 Internal Auditor certified.
